    The number of employees in the factory Kromberg & Schubert in Zabeni increased

    The number of employees in the plant “Kromberg and Schubert” in the industrial zone Zabeni in Bitola is increasing. This was said today by the Bitola Mayor Vladimir Taleski.

    According to Taleski, the citizens of Bitola on the Open Day have shown interest in new employments, urban planning, municipal infrastructure, transportation and the public transport in the city.
    - We solve some of the problems immediately at the open meetings with citizens, and requirements that are not within our power are diverted to the relevant institutions. These meetings help us to perceive the issue of our fellow citizens, and unemployment remains the most common topic, Taleski said.
    For this problem, he said, we have managed to help a lot.
    - The number of employees “Kromberg & Schubert” in Bitola is increased to over 1,200 people, Taleski said.
    Taleski was accompanied by the heads of all municipal departments at the Open Day with citizens.

    Safety Leader Expands European Capacity


    Sterling Heights, MI April 3, 2014 – Key Safety Systems (KSS), a leading global supplier

    seat belts for automotive and non-automotive markets, is pleased to announce the plans to
    increase its production capacities in Europe to meet the continued growth through an
    investment in Macedonia.

    The plan consists of launching a Brownfield operation in late 2014, followed by a Greenfield
    operation in mid-2015. The targeted location is the city of Kichevo. The initial phase of the
    investment is focused on airbag cushion manufacturing and will create 800-1000 new jobs.
    The site is capable to allow significant future expansion of this product line as well as other
    products and services in the future.

    „Ben Dor” has a business plan for investment in Gevgelija






    Israeli company „Ben Dor” which is interested in opening a distribution center in Gevgelija, met with Mayor Ivan Frangov and local producers of vegetables and fruits, where he presented the original business plan.
    In the first phase are planned logistics centers to explore the possibilities and potential markets, and then realizing production of production of unique varieties of fruit, 10.000 tons per year.
    For realization of the project Gevgelija municipality offered a location station in agro stock exchange in Negorci .
    The company „Ben Dor” has all the international quality standards and has packing facilities, cold storage and transit stations.

    22.3 percent increase in exports in February

    Exports of goods in February, according to data from the State Statistical Office, have increased by 22.3 percent.






    According to preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, the total value of exports of goods from the Republic of Macedonia in January – February 2014 amounted to 696 890 thousand U.S. dollars, while imports 1,070,984 thousand U.S. dollars.


    Import coverage by export was 65.1 %. The trade deficit in the period January-February 2014 amounted to 374 093 thousand U.S. dollars.


    Trade in goods shows that catalysts with precious metals or their compounds, ferrosilicium, ferronickel, clothing and iron and steel (rolled products) have the most significant part in exports.


    Platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder, crude oil, electricity and other metals of the platinum group, are represented the most in imports.


    In January – February 2014, the most important export partners are the EU countries 28 (80.8 %) and the Western Balkan countries (12.2 %) and the most important import partners are member states of the EU 28 (64.9 %) and the Western Balkan countries (10.0 %). According to the total volume of foreign trade, the Republic of Macedonia’s most important trade partners are Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria (53.6 % of total foreign trade exchange with these five countries).

    Italy’s Diatec to Invest EUR 10 Million in Macedonia

    Diatec, a leading Italian company producing coated media for the graphic, textile and packaging markets, has decided to invest in Macedonia at the technological-industrial zone Skopje 1.
    CEO of the Technological Industrial Development Zone Directorate, Viktor Mizo, announced the investment today, saying that contracts will be signed after the elections in Macedonia.
    “The company will create 200 new jobs in Macedonia, as well as many indirect employments because it plans to export in southeastern Europe, the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa,” Mizo said.

    Moreover, he says contracts will be signed in June or July, whereas the company is expected to begin operating in early 2015.
    Diatec has production capacities in Italy, Switzerland France, Germany and the USA. Its yearly turnover reaches EUR 200 million and the company employs 800 people worldwide.

    Im griechischen Thread postest du alles schlechte, was du nur finden kannst, hier jedoch erweckst du den Eindruck FYROV werde die neue Schweiz des Balkans.

    Jeder zweite Jugendliche ist ohne Job


    Die wirtschaftliche Lage zumindest gibt wenig Anlass, Triumphbögen zu bauen. Die Krise hat Mazedonien schwer getroffen. Jeder zweite Jugendliche hat keinen Job, bei der Arbeitslosenquote belegt die ehemalige jugoslawische Republik weltweit einen der Spitzenplätze: fast 30 Prozent. Wer Arbeit hat, muss trotzdem froh sein, wenn der Lohn bis zum nächsten Monat reicht. Die Universitäten sind schlecht ausgestattet, das gleiche gilt für die Krankenhäuser. Sanierungsbedarf allerorten. Die Regierung setzt offensichtlich andere Prioritäten.
